Function description
As a (Senior) Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of our offshore projects. You will lead a team to deliver technical work preparation for product development, studies, tenders, and projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement innovative and efficient solutions.
Depending on your product line, your work will involve contributing to the safe and responsible removal of offshore structures, providing technical preparation and support for offshore wind projects that advance the global energy transition, or overseeing the transportation and installation of large offshore structures and complex modules. Your expertise will help drive project efficiency, innovation, and safe operations, ensuring successful execution and fostering synergies across our teams.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a (Senior) Project Engineer or a similar role in offshore operations, preferably in Decommissioning, Wind, or Transport & Installation projects;
- A higher professional education in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent;
- At least 8 years of experience in engineering, project preparation, and execution of offshore or construction projects;
- Strong knowledge of offshore operations, including project planning, technical work preparation, development of offshore execution methods, and safe execution of complex offshore activities;
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams, managing subcontractors, reviewing technical deliverables, and supporting tender preparation and future developments;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to coordinate with multicultural teams, suppliers, and subcontractors;
- Ability to provide structure to unstructured scopes of work, lead technical work preparation, optimize project execution, and implement innovative and efficient solutions;
- Analytical and pragmatic mindset: able to assess developments beyond own technical domain, understand commercial drivers, and identify technical opportunities;
- Flexibility and willingness to work temporarily at yards, offshore on vessels, or in other offices;
- Availability to support project execution safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality outcomes, minimal operational delays, and fostering collaboration across teams.
