Function description
As the Project Safety Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies during the vessel conversion project at Remontowa Shipyard in Poland. You will monitor daily activities at the yard, carry out safety inspections, deliver toolbox talks, investigate incidents, and ensure full compliance with international and local regulations. You will also act as the main point of contact for safety matters between the client, contractors, and shipyard personnel.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer / HSE Officer on shipyard, offshore, or heavy industrial projects;
- Solid knowledge of international HSE standards and maritime safety regulations;
- Ability to develop and deliver safety plans, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coach multicultural teams;
- Availability to work 10 hours per day, 6 days per week on site in Poland for 8–9 months, starting ASAP.
