Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Installation Engineers to join our client’s team. As an Installation Engineer, you will play a key role in our client’s Offshore Energy division by developing installation procedures, coordinating engineering deliverables, and supporting the execution of offshore wind projects. Your responsibilities will include vessel selection, equipment planning, lifting arrangements, risk management and troubleshooting during execution. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and best practices.
Key responsibilities
Planning and Development
- Developing installation procedures for offshore wind projects, including vessel selection, positioning plans, and the selection of necessary equipment and tools.
- Designing conceptual and detailed lifting arrangements, deck layouts and sea fastenings.
Review and Coordination
- Reviewing and organizing the review of internal and external deliverables (e.g., drawings, reports).
- Preparing, managing, and coordinating engineering subcontractor scopes of work.
Execution and Support
- Providing engineering, technical preparation, and execution support for offshore wind projects.
- Assisting projects in addressing unexpected challenges during execution (troubleshooting).
Risk Management
- Advising on managing project risks and their impact on schedules, budgets, and quality.
Continuous Improvement
- Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned with the Foundation Unit Knowledge Centre.
Delivery and Accountability
- Ensuring the timely delivery of assigned tasks in alignment with tender/project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
What we’re looking for
Education
- A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil, Maritime, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with DNV-ST-N001 standards.
Skills
- Strong analytical, practical, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Supervisory and coaching skills to mentor (junior) installation engineers.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills to build connections within the company and externally.
Location Requirement
- Due to visa regulations, we are currently focusing on candidates who are living in the Netherlands.
